"We are not throwing (Jeff Naylor) under the bus"

Jeff Naylor CSD Board member is passed over for consideration as Marinwood CSD board president.  Leah Green - “We are not throwing him under the bus.”  Naylor has served on the Marinwood Fire Commission for many years. In his new role on the Marinwood CSD, he has missed at least five meetings in 2018 yet still found time to meet privately with CSD Manager, Eric Dreikosen to discuss the Marinwood Maintenance Facility.  His regular violations of the Brown Act and lack of  transparency of Marinwood business practices is subject of citizen complaints and is under review.  Naylor famously dismissed 200 residents who called for a public meeting to discuss the Maintenance Facility as ignorant.

This was not one of Jeff Naylor's finer moments in 2018

This is how Marinwood CSD Director, Jeff Naylor "Respects" your Opinion

Marinwood CSD director, Jeff Naylor "respects" public opinion once the board has decided how best to spend the public's money.  The Marinwood Maintenance compound dubbed "The White Elephant" is a proposed 4400 square foot facility that they want to build on the banks of Miller Creek.  It violates Marin County's 120 foot required setback  as outlined in the 2007 Marin County General Plan.  The current plan was devised in secret meetings with the architect, Bill Hansell, himself a former CSD Board member.  The public input from 2017 was ignored and the project has doubled in size and scope. The Marinwood CSD will not divulge the budget.  This is how the "public process" works in Marinwood.

Marinwood CSD "Censorship by Procedure" May 10, 2016

May 10, 2016 Marinwood CSD Directors Jeff Naylor and Justin Kai justify their new speech policy that forces the public to speak on agenda items BEFORE they are discussed. Since the Marinwood CSD does not produce detailed reports in the board packet the public has no way of knowing what is to be discussed. Items in the agenda are usually vague descriptions meant to obscure the topic of discussion. For example, in January 2015, a new dog leash law was described as "changes in park policies."

The new Marinwood CSD board members are hostile to public participation in "their" meetings and have found ways to censor the public through procedure. We are not fooled.

Puppies for Jeff Naylor!

Pandering to fears is wrong. Jeff Naylor, Marinwood CSD Director and long time residents knows that dogs have been allowed to be walked "leash optional" for all the years he has lived here. Jeff, like so many residents has compassion to those who have been hurt or even intimidated by dogs but understands that our community can easily accommodate all residents . Puppies for Jeff Naylor!
