"Public Outreach?" asks Planner. Jeff Naylor shuts down discussion in 2018.

At the Jan 27, 2020 Marin Planning Commission meeting, commissioner asks about the public outreach. Jeff Naylor's famous response in September 2018 to a petition of 200 residents tells the real story of "public outreach" Still there has been no meeting. The project budget is secret and the architect, a former CSD politician has estimated billing 500% of the initial estimates BEFORE the plan has been approved. Hansell Design has a highly unusual "unlimited billing" fee arrangement with NO PERFORMANCE provisions. While CSD Director, Bill Hansell hired current manager Eric Dreikosen at double his previous compensation despite NO EXPERIENCE in managing a CSD. This is small town corruption on display enabled by the entire CSD board.

Marinwood Maintenance Facility approved by Planning Commission

Here is the full presentation of the January 27, 2020 planning commission meeting that approved the Marinwood Maintenance Facility. The project is subject to appeal and possible legal challenges on the grounds that environmental law and the Marin General Plan were violated. The Marinwood CSD has spent at least 300 percent of the initial cost estimate of architects fees with former CSD director Bill Hansell. The WILL NOT DISCUSS BUDGET for this project publicly even after announcing it a year ago. . This project is likely to be the most EXPENSIVE maintenance facility in Marin County due to the custom architectural features and the unlimited budget given to the architect. Shorter clips of this meeting will be out in the future. Even with approval, the Marinwood CSD will have to figure out how to turn around a 22' long Ford F250 and a 20' dump trailer safely without destroying our park or hurting pedestrians, 500 children a day are running around during the camp season. If enough of us examine this project and request accountability, we can still turn it into a good project.

Bill Hansell wins approval of the Marinwood CSD Maintenance Shed after a year

More information to be forthcoming from yesterdays hearing.. Ex Marinwood CSD director Bill Hansell who has already billed the Marinwood CSD THREE times his original estimate is expected to cost the district $50k+ due to the inadequacies of his original plan submitted to the county.  Of course his has channeled his blame on the neighbors "who caused unnecessary delays" but in fact Marin County Planning and the Building Department insisted on the corrections

The Marinwood CSD refused to meet with the neighbors and tried to discredit critics who could have alerted problems with the project BEFORE submittal.

Bill Hansell has quite an unusual "unlimited fee" contract with the Marinwood CSD approved by Eric Dreikosen, General Manager, whom was hired by Bill while he served as a board member.  They did not disclose this prior to approving his contract and it brings up serious ethical, if not legal problems for the district/ Hansell.  But, the Marinwood CSD board approved anyhow.

Later a petition off two hundred residents to hold a hearing about the project was dismissed by the board.

Here is Jeff Naylor, who is about to conduct "public outreach" to talk with the public AFTER the project has been approved in February 2020..  Here is what he REALLY thinks about the public interest in the project in 2019 when 200 people petitioned for a hearing prior to the plans finalization..
