Activists take over City Government by the Ballot Box.

A labor activist and community organizer tells other how they seized power in Richmond, CA by winning elections. There is nothing sinister about this but it should alert people of more moderate political persuasions that they must get involved if they want the government to change from its present course. Progressives are determined to win elections and are funded with grants from government agencies and private foundations. Grassroots organizing is hard work.

Government belongs to those who show up.
