Stacy Laumann, Marin County planner, discusses the impacts of Marinwood Village and other non profit developers on the Dixie School District. State Law SB50 provides that a developer only have to pay a one time development fee and the future tax revenues cannot be grounds to deny a project.
What this means is Dixie School District and the taxpayers are left footing the bill for every new student from a non profit development that arrives in our district at $10,000 per student. This is a multimillion dollar liability.
The planners and politicians don't think school funding will be a problem.
