Marin Emergency Radio Agency (MERA www.meraonline.org)is rebuilding its communication system for police, fire and emergency services. Concerned residents speculate that it will become a surveillance system like Camden, NJ funded with generous grants from the federal government. Oakland just approved a similar system.
