If a firefighter retires at 50 years old at 90% pay, it is possible that he will live another 35 years. This represents a multimillion liability PER EMPLOYEE. I am for fair pay for all of our staff but the benefits must be sustainable and reflect the real world of the taxpayers ability to pay. Our long term liabilities far exceed our total assets and our ability to pay in Marinwood CSD. We are financially INSOLVENT.
