The Association of Bay Area Governments (ABAG) and the Metropolitan Transit Authority (MTC) are now in a desperate death match to survive. These are the agencies that brought us Plan Bay Area. MTC is in charge of funding ABAG. Suddenly, they have voted to only fund SIX MONTHES for their planning department. The MTC wants to control all the housing development planning for the Bay Area which is controlled by ABAG. The MTC cites efficiency as its reason.. Hmm.
