Surf without Surveillance

  1. In addition to using Tor, cancel your facebook, google+, twitter and yahoo accounts. Additionally, don't use facebook, google, or yahoo for your searches.

    Use www.startpage.com for searches
    or www.duckduckgo.com

    Also download these two:
    https://www.abine.com/dntdetail.php
https://adblockplus.org (this one is great as it stops the ads when you play a youtube video.)

Let me give you an example: SEIU pays google, facebook, and yahoo to track things. Let's say a opponent of SEIU sends out an email trashing SEIU. SEIU will tell Google, FB, or Yahoo to track all data on that email. SEIU in short order will receive a report on how many times that opponent letter was sent, forwarded, to who (not actual email address), where in the country, male or female, age range, etc, etc. SEIU then knows how to head off attacks as they can see where and who that opponent email is clustering and what will come of it. Essentially SEIU is one step ahead of everyone guaranteeing them a win everytime. Yes, it is safe to say the white house uses this all the way down to local politicians. If you check out www.reagan.com you will see they are developing email, twitter like, social networks, etc to combat this.

Also, when the chance arises and it will be coming out soon apparently, get rid of your iphone or android phone and go with the new linux phone.

The best thing you can do, just go off the grid. More and more people are doing this. It is great when your employer says how do I reach you and you say "I don't have a phone". Your work drops by 50%!! You can also say that reception doesn't work at your house.

  2. i should add....www.startpage.com is better than wwww.duckduckgo.com

Startpage.com allows you to go to a website in much the same was as Tor. For example: you go to www.startpage.com, do a search on MarinIj. It returns Marin Ij, click on "View by Ixquick Proxy", now Marin Ij can't see who you are as everything is running thru startpage.com servers in the netherlands as I recall. As soon as you post something or fill out a form though, you have just exposed yourself so you will see that like Tor, startpage.com turns off java. If there is java on a webpage, then you need to go directly to the website knowing that you aren't hiding yourself.
