The bill requires the CA Department of Education to make available to school districts information regarding existing diagnostic assessments in English Language Arts and mathematics that are appropriate for grade 2, in recognition of the elimination of grade 2 summative assessments. This is just another bill that is furthering the implementation of Common Core.

California Assemblyman speaks against SB 247 that would further Common Core
